What to expect

before your session

Once you book, I'll send everything you need to get ready. We'll chat about your vision, choose a location, and make a plan that feels right for you. Don't worry about knowing how to pose, I'll guide you along the way!

during your session

Come as you are and have fun! My sessions are relaxed, playful, and focused on genuine moments rather than perfectly posed photos. Expect lots of movement, laughter, cuddles, and little in between moments. Your only job is to enjoy your people and I will take care of the rest.

after your session

I'll send a few sneak peeks within 48 hours, followed by your fully edited private online gallery within 1-3 weeks. From there, you can download, share, and enjoy your photos for years to come.

1. How do i book a session?

Once you decide which session is right for you, you can click Book Now to get started. I'll send over the booking information, contract, and questionnaire so we can get everything set up.

2. where do sessions take place?

I photograph sessions throughout Grand Rapids and the surrounding areas. I'm happy to help you choose a location based on the look and feel you're going for, or we can use one of my favorite local spots!

3. What should we wear?

Wear something you feel comfortable and confident in! I recommend choosing coordinating colors and textures rather than everyone wearing the exact same thing. Neutrals, earthy tones, and soft colors photography beautifully, but most importantly choose something that feels like you.

4. what if my kids don't cooperate?

Don't stress! Really! Kids don't have to sit still or smile at the camera the entire time. My sessions are relaxed and playful, and I'll use movement, prompts, and interaction to keep things natural. Some of my favorite photos are when kids are simply being themselves.

5. can we bring our pets?

Absolutely! Pets are part of family, too. Just let me know ahead of time so we can choose a location that works well for them.

6. what happens if it rains or the weather doesn't cooperate?

Michigan weather can be unpredictable, so I keep an eyes not eh forecast leading up to your session. If the weather makes it unsafe or unsuitable for photos, we'll work together to choose a new date.

7. How many people can i include?

The Full Session is designed for immediate families, couples, maternity, portraits, and milestones. If you're planning a session with multiple families or a larger group, the Extended Family Session is the better fit. Reach out and I'll help you choose the right option for your group.

8. Do you photograph weddings?

Yes! I offer wedding photography for couples looking for a relaxed, genuine approach to documenting their day. Wedding collections being at $1,800. visit my wedding page to learn more and inquire.
